I was just looking at my daughter, she's sitting on the couch reading. I was thinking that I love that she reads. I love that she stays in the living room while I watch TV even though I know she would rather read in her own room without the distractions but she doesn't want to leave me out here alone. She just does it because she thinks it's the right thing to do. I love how she defends the underdog in every situation. The longer I looked at her the more things I thought of that I love about her.
Then I started thinking about Trace. I love that he likes to do physical stuff. That he went with me to feed the neighbors dog today when he really just wanted to play basketball. I love that lets me waller him even though he is almost 13 years old and starting to be a grown up boy. I love that he laughs stuff off a lot and doesn't get upset that often.
I realized that I mainly focus on the wonderful, positive things about my kids. I look for ways they are like me. I love that they take time to interact with me. It makes me very happy that they make me a priority. Then I had an epiphany... It must be the same for God. (Most of my God related epiphanies come from looking at my kids.) When I look at other people, occasionally I am looking at how we are different and what bugs me about them. God is looking at all of us and focusing on the fact that we are His kids, there are a lot of wonderful, positive things about each of us. He looks for ways we are like Him. Because He loves us so much, He doesn't sit around dwelling on the things about us that aren't perfect. When we include Him in our lives, it makes him happy. Wow!
God is good all the time. Thank you God for teaching me through my kids.

Think Harder
Just being proud of my kid today... she's a great writer
Think Harder by Kyla Cagle
Between a rock and a hard place, so they say
Whenever you think it won’t go away… Think Harder
Whenever you think it’s all been said and done
Remember your life’s just begun… Think Harder
Think about your parents, your family and friends
The ones you promised from beginning to end
Think of the opportunities you’re leaving behind
Just clear everything from your mind and then Think Harder
Everyday is God’s gift to you
He gave us the people to get us through
A life well lived is how it’s supposed to be
Think a little harder and you will see
Think about the future, your spouse and kids
Think about the homemade cards and a candy kiss
Remember everything you wouldn’t want to miss and Think Harder
You’ll never really know how good you have it
Until somebody in life reaches out to grab it
Don’t take your life for granted, one day at a time
You can’t spend your days countin every nickel and dime
Learn a few lessons, teach a few too
Darlin count your blessings you’ll know what to do

Expand Your Prosperity Consciousness
by Jack Canfield
Expand Your Prosperity ConsciousnessUnderstanding the relationship among consciousness, action, and prosperity is crucial to your success.
In my seminars I sometimes stand in front of the room and hold up a $100 bill, state that I’m wiling to give it away, and ask if anyone would like to have it.
Usually lots of people raise their hand – and do nothing else. I keep waiving the dollar bill until someone finally jumps out of his or her chair, walks or runs all the way up to the stage and reaches up to take the bill.
There are two lessons here. One is that money goes to the person who takes the necessary action. The other is that a certain state of consciousness makes it possible to take action – or to avoid it.
When I ask people what kept them from walking up to the front of the room to claim the money, I always get the same answers: they felt shy. They worried about what other people would think. They thought it was a trick. Those answers come from a consciousness dominated by fear, scarcity, and cynicism.
The same forces can operate in our daily lives. In each moment we either feed those forces – or replace them with something better. Following are some essential ways to expand your prosperity consciousness and claim the wealth you deserve.
Monitor Your Conversations
We swim in a sea of conversation. Every time you attend a meeting, make a phone call, or send an email, you start up a conversation. Whenever you listen to an audio recording or pick up a book, you start a conversation with an author. And whenever you write in your journal or just a take a few minutes to sit and think, you start a conversation with yourself.
Consider the combined effect of those conversations. My friend Jim Rohn liked to say that we are the average of the five people with whom we spend the most time. The quality of our conversations creates the quality of our lives.
Who are the five people that dominate the “conversation space” in your life? What did you talk about the last time you saw each person? And did that conversation build up your prosperity consciousness or tear it down?
Stay in Prosperity Conversations
Make it a point to drop out of the “aint it awful” club – toxic conversations with people who dwell on resentments or complaints. Instead, get engaged in conversations that support your path to prosperity.
For example, spend more time with the people who are already doing the kind of work you want to do. Ask them how they entered the field and what it takes to succeed.
In addition, read at least one book per week. Focus on uplifting stories and biographies of successful people. Read more and learn ways to build your skills at managing money, raising happy children, creating loving relationships, and maintaining your health. Feed your prosperity consciousness with a constant stream of useful, positive ideas.
Keep Catching Your Dream
Have you ever shared your dream with someone who then doubted your ability to achieve it? This happened to Mark Victor Hansen and me during a conversation with the publisher of Chicken Soup for the Soul. We asked him how many copies of the book we should expect to sell. The publisher said that we’d be lucky to sell 20,000 copies.
Believe me, that was NOT our dream! Our goal was to sell 150,000 copies in six months and 1.5 million in 18 months. Our publisher just laughed out loud and said it was impossible.
We ended up selling 135,000 copies in six months and 1.3 million in 18 months. We didn’t quite meet our initial goals, yet we sold much more than our publisher estimated. That first book went on to sell over eight million copies in America and 10 million copies around the world.
Whenever you have a dream-killing conversation, you have two options. Give up your dream or return to your original intention with even more energy and commitment. Focusing on your original intention sends an urgent message to your mind: I am going to persist until my dream manifests. Starting right now!
Support this deeper level of intention with affirmations, such as:
* I always attract the perfect people to work with me.
* No matter what is going on in the economy, I attract people I can help – and who can help me.
* Our customer base is expanding.
* Repeat business and referrals keep coming my way.
Then add supporting visualizations. See yourself holding bigger paychecks, rent checks, or royalty checks in your hands. Visualize people handing you cash.
Give Back
Round out these images with visions of sharing the wealth. Many of the world’s wealthiest people are dedicated tithers, meaning they give 10 percent of their income to charitable organizations.
Visualize yourself doing the same thing. Those who give also receive, and service always comes back multiplied.

Day 1
Ok... we got through the first day... that's a biggie, taking the first step. And I don't know about you all... but I had a lot of fun. My favorite part of exercise is when it's over. I feel a little tough. Not so much with food.
Next time you are about to blow off a workout in favor of sitting in front of the TV eating a bag of chips or cookies, think about how great you feel AFTER you work out. Now compare it to how you feel when you eat too much. Yuck, put up the junk and get moving. (By the way, Valerie Bertanelli wrote about that in her book Losing It and it really hit home for me.)
Hope to see everyone that came today back tomorrow. And I hope some more of you will come out tomorrow too.

woohoo!!!
alright... we start tomorrow!!! I am ready to feel stronger again. I also would like to drop my "holiday" weight. If your goal is just to get some exercise, great... just come to class. If you too want to drop some weight, come to class, track your food and do some extra cardio on your own (like 30 minutes of something everyday).
Try to limit sweets, and eat as little processed food as you can.(Ok, I know... ya'll know what to eat... we all do... this month we are actually going to DO IT!) Go to a website like livestrong.com or sparkpeople.com and track it. Both sites should break down how many calories you should be eating to reach your goal. Drink lots of water especially on days we are going to workout hard ...which will be Mon, Tues & Thurs ;-)
When it gets tough... and it always does, remember... Phillippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". ALL Things! Not a few things... ALL THINGS! So you can do this! The main thing is to DO IT! Researching weight loss won't do it. We have to listen to Nike and just do it. Take a step, then another and then some more... keep doing the things you KNOW will work -eating less and exercising more- and then just wait for your body to respond. And it will. Then we can pull the clothes we really want to wear out of the back of the closet and put them on.
I bet that sounds a little shallow... but it isn't. The mind, body and spirit are all connected. When your body feels good and you feel confident, you will do more for God. If you feel called to go on a mission, do you want to let your body being out of shape stop you? Not me, if we keep it all in good shape - mind, body, spirit- then whatever God calls us to do, we will be able to just say "yes".
Also don't forget, we are going to be a small group this month. We are going to support each other. If you have something you would like us to pray about, write it on the paper on the table, and we will.
Love you all, hope to see you soon.

Long time, no anything
Hello everyone,
I got this new DVD... 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels (Biggest Loser Chick). I have yet to try it because apparently without you all to be accountable to ... I am a bit of a slacker. :-P
So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying a modified version in March? Just 30 days to really bust it and try to get back into our spring/summer clothes. What say you all?
